Yes if it is a small breed dog, i.e. less than 25 lbs as an adult. We accept small breeds in kindergarten up to 6 months old in order to allow the dog to feel safe in group classes and not end up with too large dogs.

Yes, if you are two adults, 1 dog / 1 human.

Yes, absolutely, all dog breeds are welcome.

Absolutely all dogs are welcome in our group classes. It will be important to notify us when you register. When a dog is reactive, we organize the class environment in a safe manner to offer you a training place that respects your dog's limits. The comfort of dogs is our priority so if your dog is too reactive to be in a group class we will have the pleasure of continuing the lessons with you privately [at no additional cost] with experienced dogs.

Yes, complete this form telling us the desired course as well as the start date of the session and we will contact you in the event of another participant withdrawing or the opening of a new group. When our courses are full, we regularly open new groups in order to always have availability.

All family members are welcome, even children. As children can sometimes be unpredictable, if you have a child under 5 years old, to ensure safety is maintained, we ask for the presence of two adults.

In order to develop a harmonious and lasting relationship with it. Educating a dog is not simply teaching him words, it is also building the relationship with our dog, creating trust, learning to understand him, allowing him to also understand our limits and the different “human” regulations.

From 8 weeks. The sooner you start, the less likely your puppy is to develop bad folds.

There is no age to learn. Dogs can learn all their lives. If the bad behavior has been present for a very long time it will not be impossible to work on and/or improve, but it will take time to teach the dog that it can no longer produce this behavior. The best example that we really like to share with you is the following: If someone has smoked for several years they will be able to quit smoking, but it will be difficult. It's a bit similar with our canine friends. Any problem can improve or even stop, but there will be work to do.

Dogs are welcome in our store at any time unless we are in a private consultation with a problem dog. If this is the case, a sign is clearly posted on the front door.

How group classes and workshops work

The courses last 5 weeks, 55 minutes per week.

Our group classes are for a maximum of 4 dogs.

No delay in lessons is tolerated, as this disrupts the rest of the group.

The week before the start of your courses, you will receive by email all the information relating to the course (necessary equipment, parking instructions, etc.). IMPORTANT: Check your spam emails, sometimes our emails end up there.

An information email will be sent to you one week before the start of your courses. Sometimes you check your junk folder, our emails slip in there.

We do not normally offer returns, however we understand that sometimes unforeseen circumstances may arise so certain conditions apply.

Yes, homework and exercises.

We use techniques based on positive reinforcement, with kindness and respect towards the dog. We also use positive reinforcement techniques but we also use punitive methods, however it is important to understand that there are good negative reinforcement methods that are respectful towards the dog. Electric collars and choke collars are not permitted in our classes. Everything will be clearly explained to you in your first theoretical lesson.

There are several reasons, here are a few:

  • Comfort and well-being: Nails that are too long can cause your dog discomfort when walking, running or standing. They can also curl up and push into the paw, causing pain.
  • Paw Health: Nails that are too long can affect your dog's posture and lead to foot, paw and joint problems. It can also cause injuries, such as claw tears.
  • Infection Prevention: Claws that are too long are more likely to break or split, which can create an entry point for bacterial infections.

All dogs are welcome for our nail trimming service. If a dog experiences difficulty when cutting its nails, then an appointment will be given to you so that two trainers will be present on site to maximize the dog's comfort, all at no additional cost. Énergie canine Estrie specializes in nail trimming for reactive and/or aggressive dogs.

We mainly use the Dremel to properly file the claw, but we also work with the traditional claw clipper.
